Jose H. Collazo, 69, of Lancaster passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy. Born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico he was the son of the late Jose and Rosalina (Rodriguez) Collazo. He was the loving companion of Rosemary Malave for over 40 years. He worked in the custodial department at JP McCaskey High school for over 20 years. Jose was a member of San Juan Bautista Catholic Church. In addition to his companion, he is survived by his children, Jose H. Collazo, Jr., Debra Wright, both of Lancaster, Jose Collazo, of New York City, NY, Marisol Collazo, of FL, Maria Cherry, wife of Anthony, and Ismael Malave, both of Lancaster. Also surviving are eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a sister, Zoraida Perez. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1PM on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church, 425 S. Duke St, Lancaster, PA 17602 with Rev. Allan F. Wolfe as Celebrant. A viewing will be held from 6-8PM on Friday, December 26, 2014 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St, Lancaster and again one hour prior to the mass at the church.
