Johnnie Ruth (Smith) Seevers, 90, of Lancaster, died Monday, January 16, 2017 in her residence. Born in Chattanooga, TN, she was the wife of the late Franklin Seevers, who died in February, 1990. She was the daughter of the late William and Mae (Chambers) Smith. She was a member of Wheatland Presbyterian Church, Lancaster, and was employed as a business service rep for Bell Telephone for 39 years until her retirement. Johnnie is survived by her son, Eric L. Seevers and his wife Sue of Lancaster; 2 granddaughters: Ellen Seevers and Laura Glendinning and her husband Andrew, all of MD; and 2 great-grandsons: Aidan and Duncan Glendinning. She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Stuart Glendinning. It was Johnnie's wishes that no services be held. Her burial in Arlington National Cemetery next to Franklin will be private at the convenience of the family. Kindly omit flowers.
