The family of Johnathan Dominick DeRosa wish to announce his unexpected passing on March 30, 2025 at Lancaster General Hospital. He was 42 years old. Born in the Bronx, NY, he was the son of Dominick and Loida (Perez) DeRosa.

Reading, studying and living his life by scripture was something Johnathan prided himself on. He relied on his faith for guidance and wisdom. He enjoyed spending time playing video games on his computer, meeting new friends around the world, and spreading the gospel for all to hear. He utilized his technologically savvy skills to help his family whenever possible. He enjoyed building computers, using Chat GBT, AI, and communicating with friends over Discord. He found immense peace being outdoors hiking, biking, and walking.

His memory will live on in his loving family including his parents, Loida DeRosa and Dominick (Anna) DeRosa all of Lancaster, the sisters he was overly protective of, Christine DeRosa of Lancaster, Jillyenn DeRosa of Lancaster, and Serena DeRosa of TX, nieces and nephews, Desiree, Joezae, Micah, Jade, Julie, and Jaime, a great niece Eleanor, and his aunts and uncles, Theresa DeRosa, Roy David, Damaris Rivera, Zulma Perez, Jaime Perez, Jr., Gilbert Perez, Ivette Rivera, and Alma Ramos, as well as a host of extended family. He was preceded in passing by his paternal grandparents, Alphonse and Rose DeRosa, his maternal grandmother Ana Perez, an Uncle Rafael Rivera, and his stepsister, Annamarie Albert.

A Service Celebrating Johnathan's life will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA 17584, beginning at 4 PM. The family will receive guests from 2 PM until the service.
