John E. Williams, Sr., 77, of Ephrata, PA went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Ephrata Manor in Ephrata, PA. He was the husband of Shirley (Keach) Williams with whom he had celebrated 55 years of marriage on March 4, 2016. Born in Philadelphia, PA he was raised at Christ Home for Children in Paradise, PA. When he was of age, he moved to Christ Home in Warminster, PA. He was a member of Calvary Church when Dr. Torry was pastor and graduated from Lancaster Bible College, where he met his wife, Shirley. John enjoyed woodworking, reading, music and traveling cross country. John loved spending time in the Adirondacks and family was very important to him. In addition to his wife Shirley, he is survived by three sons John E. Williams, II husband of Jennifer (Moran) Williams of Mechanicsburg, PA, Robert B. Williams husband of Donna (Porter) Williams of Holden, MA, Timothy J. Williams husband of Lisa (Landini) Williams of Hubbardston, MA; one daughter Sharon M. wife of Frederick Rittenhouse of Ephrata, PA; ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 2:00PM in the Donecker Chapel at Ephrata Manor, 99 Bethany Rd. Ephrata, PA 17522. Interment will be held privately.
