John M. Votano, 79, of Lititz passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Union City, NJ he was the son of the late Paul and Matilda (Goebel) Votano. He worked at Verizon for many years and most recently worked as a dispatcher for Comcast for over 23 years. John was a ham radio enthusiast for over 60 years. He loved his trains, his cats, Indy car racing, was a huge New York Giants football fan but most of all was very outgoing who loved to make people smile and laugh. John proudly served in the US Army. He is survived by his children, John Votano of Tappanhock, VA, Donna Votano of Lititz, Philip Votano husband of Chei of Japan, Anthony and Michael Votano both of Manheim. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A Viewing will be held from 11AM-1PM on Monday, August 1, 2016 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A graveside service will be held following the viewing at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 2:30PM with full military honors.
