John Patrick Quinn, Jr., 55, of East Petersburg passed away Friday, November 13, 2015 followed by a brave and hard fought battle with cancer, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Lancaster, PA he was the son of the late John P. Quinn, Sr. and Sarah (Melvin) Quinn. He was a 1978 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School and earned an Associate degree in Graphic and Fine Arts from York Academy of Arts. Johnny was a talented artist producing many art pieces and murals in both Lancaster and Florida. He worked at Quinn's Restaurant in South Beach Florida as a Singer /Entertainer. Additionally, he was employed at Strawberry Hill Restaurant and most recently Cork and Cap Restaurant, Lancaster. John was loved by all, always had a smile on his face and enjoyed life to the fullest. No matter where he was there was always a person in the crowd that John knew. He enjoyed fishing and boating on the Chesapeake with his childhood friend Steve and in Florida with his brother, Gerry. He also enjoyed traveling, especially to New Orleans, was an avid Eagles fan, spending Sundays at Marion Court in Lancaster with his friends and spending time with his family. He is known for his singing and enjoyed belting out Irish ballads. John was the life of any party. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church. He was also a member of the South Florida Emerald Society. Surviving are his siblings, Jim Quinn husband of Joanne of Lebanon, Gerry Quinn husband of Sherry of Miami, FL, Maureen Quinn of East Petersburg, Dennis Quinn husband of Anne of Lititz, Bridget Flick wife of Michael of Lancaster; also surviving are three nieces, Sarah, Suzi and Meghan and four nephews, Mike, Patrick, Brenden and Aidan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Rd, Lancaster, PA at 11:00 A.M. preceded by a visitation with the family from 9:30 to 10:45 A.M. at the church. Final farewell will be in Manheim Fairview Cemetery. In keeping with the spirit of Johnny's Irish heritage, Johnny would like everyone to wear a little bit of green to honor him. In lieu of flowers, contributions in John's memory may be made to Hospice & Community Care, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125 or to the Ann B.
