John L. Nissley died on October 15, 2024, at Landis Homes. He was the son of Clarence R. and Martha G. (Longenecker) Nissley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Faith G. (Eshelman) Nissley, and his sister, Joan Gingrich.

He is survived by his sisters, Reba (Mervin) Hess, of Lititz, and Nancy (Paul) Hess, of Willow Street; his brother-in-law, James Gingrich, of Lititz; and a number of nieces and nephews.

John was a member of Erb Mennonite Church and Sunday School. He enjoyed nature, especially hunting deer and elk. His early days were spent farming. He worked for Yerger Brothers, Lititz, G and G, Manheim, and Kreider Farms, Manheim.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 beginning at 11AM at Landis Homes in the West Bethany Chapel, 1001 E Oregon Rd., Lititz, PA 17543. A visitation will follow the memorial service. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in John's name to the Landis Homes Caring Fund or Mennonite Central Committee.
