John "Poppy" Moyer, age 71, gained his heavenly wings on Friday March 15, 2019 and is now reunited with the love of his life, Sheren Fakis. John leaves behind Sweetie, his beloved furry companion, who will miss his constant attention and belly rubs; two daughters, Sandra Snyder, fiancé of Michael Schannauer, Denver, and Karen White, wife of Joe White, Lexington, North Carolina; step-daughter, Lynda Fakis, Lititz; grandsons Dustin Smith, Evan Fakis, Hunter Snyder, and Brandon White; sister, Martha Weaver, wife of the late Thomas "Butch" Weaver, Delaware. Poppy's favorite thing to do was to spend time with his dog, Sweetie. He enjoyed muscle cars, NASCAR, woodworking, entertaining his family with riveting stories of his speed demon antics performed in his youth, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed helping with activities at Lititz UM church. Poppy will be missed by all who knew him.

A life celebration memorial service for family and friends will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Humane Pennsylvania, 1729 N. 11th Street, Reading, PA 19604.
