John David McConnell, age 29, passed away at his home on Saturday, May 6, 2023. Born in La Mesa, California, he was the son of the late John McConnell and Maritza (Montero) Sweigart.

John was a true artist. He loved drawing and designing his own tattoos. He appreciated nature and enjoyed spending time fishing and hiking. When not outdoors, he loved a good book, listening to music, playing video games and weightlifting. Most of all, he valued time spent with his family.

In addition to his mother, Maritza, John is survived by his siblings: Orlando Arce, Sr. (fiancé of Stephany Moore) and Lydia Johnson (wife of Temple), both of Lancaster; his maternal grandmother: Libby Serrano, his maternal grandfather Luis F. Montero; his nieces and nephews: Noah Arce, Orlando Arce, Jr., Cali Arce, Taina Johnson and Kiarra Johnson and his Aunts Connie, Laurie, and Melody, Uncle Louie, and many cousins.

Family will receive friends at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602 on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 4pm-5pm with a celebration of John's life beginning at 5pm.
