John A. Matt, 80, of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, October 30 ^th , 2008 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Frank and Francis Matt. John was married to the late Anna L. (Mudrinich) Matt who passed away on March 24 ^th , 1993. He had a companion, Jerry M. Kaska of Lancaster.

Mr. Matt was employed by General Graphics of York as a printer for 10 years. He enjoyed fishing. He served in the U.S. Navy and is a Korean War veteran.  John was a member of the V.F.W. #872 in Millersville, Knights of Columbus Lancaster Council #867, and St. Philip the Apostle Church.

Surviving are his two sons, Frank P Matt of Lancaster, Anthony D, husband of Shelley Matt of Lititz, and one daughter Lisa M wife of Robert Maass of Alexandria VA, three grand children, two aunts and several cousins.

A Christian Prayer Service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home Inc, 414 East King Street, Lancaster, PA, 17602 on Thursday, November 6 ^th , 2008 at 10:30AM with  Rev.Mark E.Weiss officiating.
