John R. Keene, 91, resident of Mennonite Home, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at LGH. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late John R. Keene, Sr. and Lillian (McCormick) Keene. He was married to Margaret (Stuber) Keene on May 18, 1946 and would have celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary in May. He was a 1941 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School. John served as an administrator for Alumax Co. retiring after 40 years of service. He was an avid reader and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles in the newspaper. In addition to his wife, John is survived by two daughters, Marjorie Ann O'Leary of Seattle, WA, Joan Louise Keene of Lancaster and a son, John David Keene of Seattle, WA. Also surviving are two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a brother, Richard Keene. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Please omit flowers.
