“Johnny” Roehm

John M. "Johnny" Roehm, 63, of Conestoga, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 at Penn State Lancaster Medical Center.
He was the husband of Patty S. (Rutt) Roehm with whom he celebrated 38 years of marriage this past May 17th. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late James D. and Edna B. Bowman Roehm.
John was a true entrepreneur, working from a young age in his parents' business, the former Willow Street Beer Distributor, where he helped transport kegs and cases. He started his own business in construction, most recently known as Roehm's Custom Homes of Conestoga. He owned and operated the business for 36 years. He was a family man and great provider for his wife and children. John was always offering to help others.
He was an all-around outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, crabbing and fishing as well as taking care of his vegetable gardens and cooking up his harvests.
In addition to his wife, Patty, John was survived by his children: Janelle Caldwell McCoy of Lancaster, Allyson Roehm of Lancaster, Johnny married to Jenna Roehm of Willow Street, and Tina married to Daulton Karr of Conestoga; his 6 grandchildren Skylar, Layla, Athena, Violet, Nicole, and Naomi; and by his sisters: Jackie married to Mike Mutscheller, Jane married to Alan Truscott, Ginger married to Pete Yost, and Dottie married to Brian Grimm. He was preceded in death by his brother, Mike Roehm and a grandchild in Heaven.
Friends will be received by John's family on Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 4-6PM at the Charles F. Snyder III Funeral Home & Crematory, 2421 Willow Street Pike, Willow Street, PA with the Memorial Service to follow at 6PM. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in his memory to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation at 6 Herndon Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403 or CBF.org .
