Obituary

John D. "Jack" Knapp, 76, of East Petersburg, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Vivien and Dorothy (Peters) Knapp. He was the loving husband of Linda Ann Knapp who passed away December 17, 2016. He most recently worked for Berk-Tek and formerly worked at Raymark Industries. Jack was a longtime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Lancaster. He enjoyed cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Phillies and the Hempfield High School's football team. Jack loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Jack is survived by three daughters, Patricia Appel of Lititz, Cynthia Mosso, and Michelle Thomas wife of Ken, both of Lancaster. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Jamison, Zachary, Alexis and Carter; a sister, Debra Heisey, of Mountville and a host of loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Knapp. A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 500 Pearl St, Lancaster PA 17603, with Rev. David Kreider officiating. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jack's memory may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church at the above address.
