John A. "Jack" Kenneff, 59, of Lancaster City, died on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Lancaster General Hospital following a brief illness.

Jack was born March 25, 1948 in Danville, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Margaret Kane Kenneff and the late John F. Kenneff.  He is survived by his wife Nancy and son John. His daughter, Meredith, passed away three years ago. In addition, he is survived by a brother, Anthony Kenneff and two nieces and four nephews.

Jack, a graduate of LaSalle College and Dickinson Law School, was a partner in the law firm of Goodman and Kenneff. In addition to his private practice, he was an Assistant Public Defender for Lancaster County. Before joining the Public Defender's Office he was an Assistant District Attorney for 26 years. Jack was active in local Republican politics, serving as a committee man and Treasurer of the Republican Party for Lancaster City. He was a member of the Commercial Travelers Association.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place from St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 East Orange Street Lancaster, PA on Monday March 10, 2008 at 7pm with Fr. Mitzel as Celebrant. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 4-7pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lancaster County Public Library, 125 North Duke Street, Lancaster, PA 17602. Funeral arrangements under the care of Charles F.
