John M. Hippeli, 93, formerly of Quakertown, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at home. He was born in Abington, PA to the late Otto and Alice (Collins) Hippeli and was one of their seven children. He was the husband of Dorothy C. (Young) Hippeli, with whom he shared 71 years of marriage. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and worked as a bulldozer and heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, motorcycling, and snowmobiling, as well as spending time at his cabin in the mountains of Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Hippeli, his son Robert John Hippeli, five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, Otto and Alice, his six siblings, his daughter, the late Linda M. (Hippeli) Simkanin, and one grandson, Michael John Hippeli. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
