John M. Hintz, Sr., 69, of Lititz, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at his residence. He was the husband of Christine M. Skilling Hintz, with whom he shared 34 years of marriage this past June. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son the late Arthur and Edna Schwarz Hintz. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church. John enjoyed gardening and flowers, loved to cook and host big family dinners. He was a die-hard NY Mets fan and loved his Golden Retriever, Lacey. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Katherine married to John Barnett, Christina married to Steven Pearsall, Diana married to Thomas DiMaria, Michele married to John Micheli, Anne Marie Hintz, John Jr. married to Janet Hintz, Jaime married to Matthew Brossman, and Lauren married to Tad Schlegel; his 10 granddaughters, his 4 grandsons, his brother, Richard Hintz and his sister, Mary Anne Loper. Friends will be received on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at St. James Catholic Church, 505 Woodcrest Ave., Lititz, PA from 10-11AM, with the Mass to follow at 11AM. Interment in Penryn Cemetery.
