Obituary

John C. Hamilton II, 85, of Lancaster died Saturday, July 31, 2010 at York Hospital. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late John and Flora Pond Hamilton. John was married to Patricia Ann Urbanowicz Hamilton for 31 years.

John worked in the maintenance department of the Lancaster Newspaper, previously he was a machine operator for the former Daffin Corp, and a truck driver for Keystone Industries during his working career.

He was a private and served in the US Army Air Force during World War II with Squadron S 3702 nd Unit as a tail gunner. He was a life time member of Amvets Post #19 in Lancaster.

Surviving besides his wife are two children: Wanda Hamilton-Wolferd wife of Edward H. Wolferd Sr. Willow Street, John C.III husband of Danita Hamilton, Manheim, step-daughter, Cynthia Shearn, Brooklyn, NY and two grandsons: Brandon Hamilton, Daniel Wolferd and a sister: Dorothy Pooling, SC, nieces and a nephew.

A Graveside Service will be held at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 2:00PM. Arrangements are by the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, Lancaster. To send online condolences, please visit SnyderFuneralHome,com
