John "Jack" H. Martin, 81, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Sandra L. Rominger Martin, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage this past September 7th. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Howard W. and Flora B. Harman Martin. Jack had worked for 24 years at Alcoa of Lancaster, retiring as a supervisor in 1987. He enjoyed traveling, being on the water in his boat, golfing with the guys, airplanes, and his many friends. Jack was a 1953 graduate of Manheim Township High School and served in the Army National Guard in the late 1950s. In addition to his wife, Sandy, he is survived by his daughter: Lori L. married to Joseph Krchnar of Lancaster; his 4 grandchildren: Jeremy and Jonathan Mackey and Jessa and Jaden Krchnar; his great grandchild Carter Mackey and by his brother, Jere G. married to Helen Martin of Lititz. He was preceded in death by his sister, Delores Martin. Friends will be received on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA from 1:30-2:30PM, with the Memorial Service to follow at 2:30PM. Interment will be private.
