John M. Fedor, a distinguished military veteran and father of two, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025, at the age of 81, in his home in Lancaster, PA. Born May 16, 1944, in Brooklyn, New York. John was a graduate of McCaskey HS where he was an All-Conference football player. Upon graduation John served in the Army as a Radioman during the Vietnam War and later in the Navy as an E6 Petty Officer aboard the USS Hundley. There he developed a deep sense of duty and camaraderie that he carried throughout his life. He was a proud father to two children, Christopher (Kathy) and Robert (Amy). A loving grandfather to six grandchildren: Conner, Courtney, Isabella, Madeline, Olivia, Lily and a great-grandfather to Samson.
John was known for his dry humor, unwavering support, and countless stories he shared about his time in the service. He instilled in his children the values of honor, integrity, and resilience. Outside of his military career, John enjoyed building replica aircraft and racing cars with impeccable detail.
John is survived by his brother Paul (Maria), his two children, six grandchildren and one great grandchild and was predeceased by his eldest brother, Stephen and his parents, Stephen and Estelle.
A celebration of his life will take place on August 13, 2025, at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Lancaster Hospice and Community Care, supporting families in need.
