John H. Connor, 65, died Sunday January 27, 2008 at his home after a brief illness. John was born on May 16, 1942 in Philadelphia, Pa. He was the son of the late Lester and Rita Leo Pomante. John was the husband of 22 years to Dawn Harper Connor and a loving father to Kristin Rose Connor.

Mr. Connor honorably served his country during the Vietnam War as a jet pilot and a captain in the United States Air force. He held a Master's degree from Maryland University. He worked as a special agent for the federal government. In retirement, he enjoyed reading, bird and nature watching, his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 2:00PM at the Lancaster Church of the Brethren, 1601 Sunset Ave., Lancaster, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in John's memory to Hospice of Lancaster County, P.O.Box 4125, Lancaster, PA. 17604.
