John H. Bachman, 88, of Lancaster, passed away, Friday, April 2, 2010 at Mennonite Home. Born in Manheim, he was the son of the late Harry and Margaret (Moran) Bachman. John was the husband of the late Dorothy Jane (Donnelly) Bachman who died on December 31, 1988.

John proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He was employed by Armstrong for 47 years as an Expediter. John enjoyed spending time with his family.

John is survived by 3 sons; Robert J. Bachman of Millersville, James R. Bachman husband of Cathy of Lancaster, and Thomas E. Bachman husband of Anne of East Petersburg. 8 grandchildren. 12 great grandchildren. And many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter; Suzanne Sheare. 2 sisters; Sadie Hetrick, and Mary Riley. And a brother; Harry Bachman.

A Christian Prayer Service will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home 441 N. George St. Millersville 17551 at 11 a.m. Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home before the service from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery.
