Joanne Felix, 83, of Leola, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Henry C. and Edna (Murry) Fritsch. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Douglas P. Felix, who died in 1996.

Joanne attended The Worship Center. She was a homemaker who enjoyed jewelry, shopping, going to garage sales, and was a fan of Rod Stewart. She had a gift for making flower arrangements and entered her pieces in local fairs. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter Pamela D. Heidig, wife of David A., of New Holland, granddaughter Jennifer A. Matters of Leola, grandson Jason A. Matters of New Holland, and six great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Robert C. Fritsch.

A Celebration of Joanne's Life will be held Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602. A viewing will be held from 6-7PM, with a Funeral Service beginning at 7. At the conclusion of the Service, a viewing will continue until 9PM. Burial on Friday, June 6, 2014 at 10AM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
