JoAnn Autz 78, of Lancaster, and formerly New York, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2025. Born in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Vincent Angeline and Evelyn (Garnier) Angeline. She was married to her childhood sweetheart and soulmate, George L. Autz, prior to his passing in 1999.

JoAnn graduated from Richmond High School in New York and worked for many years on Wall Street as an executive secretary and as an office manager at a doctor's office.

She was extremely active in her faith, dedicating herself to the ministry of the church and community, including attending prayer meetings and Bible studies, teaching Sunday School, preaching, speaking to women's groups, singing, writing, counseling, missions, and was a leader for the Missionette ministry, as well as a Chaplain for the Islip Home Makers.

JoAnn was very talented with crafts and had a beautiful rose garden, which she lovingly tended every day.

JoAnn is survived by 2 children: Lori Ann Azzopardi, George Vincent Autz (wife Lucy), grandson Joseph Azzopardi (wife Christine), great-grandson David Joseph Azzopardi, sister Lorraine Samojeden (husband Walter), and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, and their children.
