Joan T. McCauley, 75, of 2427 Finlandia Lane, Clearwater, Florida, died January 8, 2006 at her home.

Born in Gwyned, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harold E. and Catherine Price Towson. Joan was married to Robert S. McCauley for 53 years.  She was a 1948 graduate of Mount Vernon Seminary in Washington, D.C. and a 1950 graduate of Colby Jr. College in New London, NH. Mrs. McCauley was a member of St. Michael Archangel Catholic Church in Florida and St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Lancaster, where she  served on the bazaar committee. Her memberships included former member of the Embroidery Guild of America and past president of On Top of the World Golf League.

Surviving besides her husband is a son; Neil P., husband of Kelly McCauley of Lititz, two daughters; Karen A., wife of Tim Beaver of Lancaster; and Linda S., wife of Eric Steffy of Washington Boro; eight grandchildren; and a brother, Frank Towson of Astoria , Oregon.

Funeral Services will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church 601 E. Delp Road, Lancaster, on Friday, January 20, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment at St Joseph New Catholic Cemetery Niche, Bausman, PA, at 3:15 p.m.. Friends may pay their respects to the family at the church from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Please omit flowers, contributions may be made in Joan's memory  to St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Road, Lancaster, PA 17601.
