Joan Lee (Geesey) Ressel, 72, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on October 25, 2018 at Hospice & Community Care in Mount Joy. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Elsie (Reed) Geesey and was of the Methodist faith. Joan was married to Barry R. Ressel and shared 53 years together. She retired from the Manheim Auto Auction and enjoyed traveling, the beach and, most of all, her grandchildren. Joan was a 1964 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her two children: Barry R. Ressel Jr. of Mount Joy, and Michelle , wife of Robert Pawling of Palmyra; and her 3 grandchildren Gabriel, Liam, and Mason Pawling. The family would like to convey a special thank you to everyone at the Hospice care facility at Mount Joy. Services will be private.
