Joan E. Buohl, 78, of Lancaster, passed away, Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Mennonite Home. Born in West Chester, Pa. she was the daughter of the late Jonathan and Elmira (Favinger) Tompkins. Joan was the wife of the late Harry J. Buohl Jr. who died in June 1995.

Joan was a former member of Bird-in-Hand United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, arts and crafts, and her volunteer service at Mennonite Home.

Joan is survived by 3 children; Kathleen L. Leaman wife of Tim of Lancaster, James D. Buohl husband of Tiffany of East Petersburg, and Susan M. Martin wife of Roy of Ephrata. 2 grandchildren, 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

She was preceded in death by a son; Robert B. Buohl and 2 sisters.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 6, 2010 at Mennonite Home Chapel 1520 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster Pa. 17601 at 11 a.m. Family and friends will be received before the service at Mennonite Home Chapel from 10 a.m-11 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Cemetery.
