Joan M. Bortzfield, 93, of Manheim, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2025. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Terrance and Edna (Keenen) Crawford. She was the loving wife of Richard K. Bortzfield with whom she celebrated 65 years of marriage in 2021.

She attended McCaskey High School. Joan was a full-time home maker. She also worked a variety of part-time retail jobs throughout her life.

She was a member of the Grace Community Church of Willow Street.

Joan is survived by two sons, Bruce Lefever and Craig Bortzfield, sister, Deborah Groff, seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews and is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Bortzfield, son Glenn Lefever, daughter Lisa Laird, sisters Elsie and Patricia, and brother Terrence.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, Pennsylvania 17543. Interment to follow in Conestoga Memorial Park for immediate family members only. Family and friends will be received from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home on Thursday.
