Jesus Almestica Ortiz, 49, of 1509 Crescent Ave., Lancaster died Sunday at his residence.

He enjoyed listening to music and helping others.

Born in Patillas, Puerto Rico he was the son of Simona Ortiz of Lancaster and the late Fulgencio Almestica.

Surviving besides his mother is one sister, Leonides "Leo" Soto of Lancaster; one brother, Angel Ortiz of Lancaster; and 12 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Good Shepherd Evangelical Mennonite Church, 645 Harrison St., Lancaster on Wednesday at 11:00am.  A viewing will be held at the church from 9:00am until time of service.  Interment in Riverview Burial Park.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Jesus's memory to The Hope House, 1509 Crescent Ave., Lancaster, PA 17601.
