IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jesse Lee
Shreiner
March 12, 2009
Jesse Lee Shreiner, 34, of Lancaster, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2009. Born and raised in Lancaster, he was the son of James and Mary Dezort Shreiner and husband to Stephanie Eckenrode Shreiner. He is survived by two children, Emma Grace and James Francis, and a sister, Meredith Shreiner Roark, wife of William Roark of Ambler, PA.
Jesse, a 1992 graduate of Manheim Township High School, was a gifted musician who studied for many years with the late Dr. Mary Vyner at the Lancaster Conservatory of Music. He won national recognition at age 12 for one of his compositions, "Spencer's Dream." He continued his studies at Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA, where he majored in music. Jesse studied abroad at the Mozarteum University of Salzburg, Austria in his junior year, and graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor's degree in Music. Fellow musicians describe his talent as sophisticated and clever as Jesse was himself. He was employed as an information technology manager with GMAC Mortgage in Fort Washington, PA, a job that he greatly enjoyed.
Jesse was interested in genealogy and did extensive research into his family's history. In addition, he enjoyed sharing the beauty of the Outer Banks in North Carolina with his family. Despite all of his gifts and interests, the true center of his universe was his devoted wife and beautiful children. He was a rock on which his entire family relied.
Relatives and friends may pay their respects to the family on Tuesday evening, March 17, 2009 from 6 until 8 PM at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel Inc., 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 PM from St. James Episcopal Church, 119 N. Duke St., Lancaster, PA 17602. Private interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jesse's memory may be sent to the Pennsylvania Academy of Music, 42 N. Prince St., Lancaster, PA 17602. To send an online condolence, please visit snyderfuneralhome.com, 717/560-5100.
