Jere L. Todd, 79, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the Hershey Medical Center.  Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Clinton Todd and Elizabeth Williard.  Jere was the husband of the late Geraldine A. (Ebersole) Todd, who passed away December 2010.

A veteran, he served in the United States Marines Corps during the Korean War.  Jere was a member and past Commandant of the Lancaster County Detachment of Marine Corps League.  He attended St. John's Episcopal when he was young.  He retired from High Steel Structures as a welder.

Surviving are five sons, Jeffery L. Todd, husband of Dawn, Dale E. Todd, husband of Cindi, Steven R. Todd, husband of Anita "Skeeter", David E. "Red" Todd, husband of Doris, and Christopher M. Todd; eight grandchildren; and a brother, John Todd, husband of Debbie.

Jere was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Todd, and a brother, Ronald Todd.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7PM on Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543.  Family and friends will be received from 6-7PM at the funeral home.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family at Riverview Burial Park.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jere's name to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603.  To send the family online condolences, please visit SnyderFuneralHome.com.
