Jennifer Lynn Wertz, 39, of Lancaster, passed away at WellSpan Ephrata Hospital on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Edward Allen Jr. and Cynthia Ann Hamilton and the late Teresa Lynn Wertz.

Jennifer worked as a waitress for many restaurants in her time but most recently was a waitress at Rockville and Gap Diner.

Jennifers children were her life. She was fun, with a huge heart and always remained optimistic even in the darkest of times. Her laughter would fill a room and was truly a light to anyone who she had met. To her friends and family, she was a light.

Surviving in addition to her dad and stepmom are four children, Jaheim, Jayden, Janessa and Janiyah Thompson, as well as three siblings, Matthew husband of Crystal Wertz, Gary Flaud and Monica Cummings. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Services for Jennifer will be private and at the convenience of the family. To carry on Jennifers legacy the family ask that you do a kind act for someone in her memory.
