Jeannette E. "Jane" Slein, 85, died peacefully at her Lancaster home on Wednesday, October 9, 2013. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Frederick G. and Jeannette Elizabeth Clark Crummer. Jane's husband of 59 years, Owen F. Slein, Jr., died in 2011.

A homemaker, Jane loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed family trips to Myrtle Beach, doing counted cross-stitch and was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.

Jane is survived by 3 children, Joanne, wife of Steven Stuart of Litltz, Michael Slein, husband of Cindy of Lancaster and Sharon L. Slein of Lancaster; and 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 4 sisters and 1 brother.

A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, October 12, 2013, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 East King Street, Lancaster, PA 17602, with Celebrant Linda A. Berger. Jane's family will receive friends 10-11 AM. Interment in St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery.
