Jeanne W. Leib died peacefully Thursday, September 21, 2023 at LGH after a brief illness. She was 95 years old. Born in Hanover, PA she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Mildred Wagner. Jeanne was the wife of the late Ronald J. Leib with whom she shared over 70 years of marriage before his passing in 2021.
Jeanne graduated from Hanover High School where she met her future husband. She faithfully wrote numerous letters to him while he was enlisted in the U.S. Navy for 2 years and graduated from the Pierce School of Business in Philadelphia in 1948 with an Associate degree in Business Administration.
In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling across the country in the RV, cooking, sewing, as well as being a full-time mom to raise her two children. She was a frequent volunteer at Trinity Lutheran Church and Highland Presbyterian Church. Jeanne was also a member of the women's auxiliary at LGH. The time spent with her husband, children, and grandchildren was cherished dearly.
She will forever be regarded as a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many.
Jeanne is survived by a son: Brian Leib, husband of Kimberly; a daughter, Susan O'Neil, wife of Craig; five grandchildren: Alyssa Kambic, wife of Adam, Ashley Huber, wife of Shayne, David Gallagher, husband of Laura, Kaitlyn Pagano, wife of Logan, and Matthew O'Neil, husband of Alyssa; and five great grandchildren, Isabella Gallagher, Brianna Gallagher, Dawson Huber, Adalynn Kambic, and Aliyah Pagano. Her memory will be treasured by several relatives as well.
Services for Jeanne will be held at 11AM on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the Brethren Village Chapel, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Interment will follow in East Berlin Union Cemetery. Family and friends will be received from 10-11AM at the chapel on Saturday.
