Jeanne E. Kennedy, 68, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018, at UPMC Pinnacle, Lancaster. Born in Coatesville, she was a daughter of the late James and Myrle (Hall) Martin, and the beloved wife of the late Thomas W. Kennedy, with whom she who shared 28 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 1998. Jeanne was proud graduate of CASH – Coatesville Area Sr. High School. She worked in the housekeeping department of the Hamilton Arms Center, Lancaster, from where she retired after more than 20 years of service. Jeanne was very devoted to her home and family, enjoyed cooking, sewing and crocheting, coloring, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was known to all as being strong willed, determined and a loyal friend. Jeanne is survived by her daughter, Sarah J. (Kennedy) Marty, and her son, Thomas C. Kennedy, both of Lancaster. Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren, Thomas, Sarah, Jonathan, Isaiah, Amber, Ziah and Mara; two great-grandchildren, Zayden and Andrick; and her sister, Ruthanne Boyd and her husband Gary of Coatesville. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Elaine Boyes. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing which will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018, from 6 – 8 PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 East King Street, Lancaster, PA, 17602. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
