Jeanine B. McConnell, 68, of Lancaster, formerly of Ephrata, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Sunday, July 31, 2016, at Magnolias of Lancaster. Born in Wilmington, DE, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Kathleen (Thompson) Beatie. Jeanine was the loving wife of Thomas J. McConnell, with whom she had celebrated nearly 48 years of marriage. Jeanine attended the University of Delaware and Penn State University where she earned a certificate for office management. She held two positions which she especially loved: the first was when she served as assistant director of Ephrata Area Social Services; the second was her position as Manager of Cocalico Senior Center, where she earned the nickname, "Mrs. Fun." Jeanine was a faithful member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where she served as deaconess. In addition to her husband, Jeanine is survived by two sons: Thompson O. McConnell, husband of Betsy, of Lititz; and G. Scott McConnell, husband of Sarah, of Wilmington, DE; 8 grandchildren; and her sister, Patricia Brown, wife of James, of Clermont, FL. Jeanine was preceded in death by her brother, David Beatie. Memorial Services will be held at 11AM, Tuesday, August 9, 2016, at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2151 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601, with the Rev. Dr. Michael A. Rogers officiating. A visitation will be held from 10-11AM, prior to the service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
