Jeanette J. Wickenheiser, 82, of Conestoga View, Lancaster, died after a brief illness on Sunday, May 24, 2015. Raised in Ephrata, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Zimmerman and Dorothy Simmons. She worked as a cashier at Turkey Hill for 17 years and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Columbia. Jeanette was an avid reader, loved listening to music, and was a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan. Jeanette is survived by 2 daughters, Kim M. Wickenheiser of Lancaster and Sharon L. McOmber, wife of Alan, of Mount Joy; 2 granddaughters; and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 sisters: Betty J. Troxel, wife of Bruce of Cleona, Joanne L. Wolfe, wife of Victor of Mount Joy, and Joyce E. Williams, wife of Stanley of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Richard Dissinger and Randolph Simmons. Memorial services for Jeanette will be held at 11AM, on Friday, June 5, 2015 at Conestoga View Nursing Home Chapel, 900 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602. Family and friends will be received one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jeanette's name may be made to the Salvation Army, 131 S. Queen St., Lancaster, PA 17603.
