Jeanette May, 94, of 441 Grantham C., Deerfield, Beach, Florida, died Thursday morning, August 17, 2006, at Essa Flory Hospice Center.

Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Nathan and Ida Sherman Zimmerman. Jeanette was the wife of the late Max A. May and they owned May's Market at Fairview and Vine Streets in Lancaster from 1938 to 1951. Mrs. May  was a member  of Degel Israel Congregation and a  former  member of Temple Beth El. She was a life long member of Hadassah.

Surviving are two daughters: Nadine Lyon of Lancaster, Eileen Migdon of Lancaster and one son, Stanley Husband of Patty May of Lancaster. Six grandchildren: Stacey Schilt of Lancaster, Shari Dym of Harrisburg, Michael Migdon of Lancaster, Gregory Migdon of Lancaster, Tina Musser of Seattle, Washington, Todd May of Lancaster and eleven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel,  3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz PA, on Friday, August 18, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Temple Beth El Cemetery, Lititz, PA.
