Jean E. Prentice, 91, of West Hempfield Twp., passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018, at St. Anne's Retirement Community, Columbia. Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late Eugene H. and M. Marguerite (Birely) Schuler, and the beloved wife of the late Harry F. Prentice, with whom she shared 49 years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2012. Jean worked as a staff auditor for Fulton Bank from where she retired in 1982 after 25 years of service, and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. She was very proud of the fact that she was the first female auditor for the bank. Surviving are her nieces, Donna Walter and her husband Richard of Lancaster, Dore Williamson of Millersville, Kathleen Hess and her husband John of New Providence, and Kimberly Hammond and her companion Ralph Garris III of Parkesburg. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Donald Schuler, and her sister, Suzanne Hammond. A Memorial Service in Jean's honor will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, June 8, 2018 at the St Anne's Retirement Community Chapel, 3952 Columbia Avenue, Columbia, PA, 17512, where the family will receive guests beginning at 12:30 PM. Interment will follow at Conestoga Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jean's memory may be offered to St. Anne's Retirement Community at the above address.
