Jean M. Masters, 87, passed away on January 3, 2016. Jean resided in New Holland, PA and lived with her niece and nephew, Donna & Russell Sweeney. Born in Jersey City, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Leonard Spencer Masters & Annie Margaret (Ewan) Masters. Jean was a book keeper for many years at an independent bus company in Jersey City, NJ. She enjoyed square dancing, bowling, bingo and pinochle. In Jean's younger years, every summer the family would spend time camping at Sawmill Lake in High Point State Park, Sussex, NJ. Jean and her mother shared the same love for opera music. They enjoyed this interest together every Sunday for many years. Surviving are three siblings: Margaret Leona Mahoney of Lancaster, PA, Dorothy Ruth Kimball of New Hampshire, and Richard Crawford Masters, Sr. of Florida; sister-in-laws: Agnes Masters of New York and Virginia Iglesias of Florida; nieces & nephews: Bobby, Bonnie, Bryan, Dawn, Donna, Keith, Kenny, Joy, Lisa, Lloyd, Richie & Scotty; and numerous great-nieces & great-nephews. Jean was preceded in death by two brothers: William Spencer Masters and Leonard Charles Masters; a sister, Barbara Estelle; sister-in-law, Joyce Masters; and nephews: Billy & Michael Masters. A Special Thank You to her nieces & nephews: Heather, Mark, Brandon, Sarah & Abigail Leigey and Jocelynn Ference for always being there. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Albright Life and the caregivers of Home Instead Senior Care, all of Lancaster, PA. A viewing will take place from 3-4 PM with a Funeral Service beginning at 4 PM on Friday, January 8, 2016 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
