Javier DeJesus of Lancaster passed away on December 21, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at Penn State Hospital of Lancaster. He was 57 years old. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Juan and Lydia (Conde) DeJesus. He was the loving husband of Yesica Gutierrez Melendez.

His family fondly remember Javier for his loving and kindhearted personality, his joking demeanor, and willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need. He loved spending time with his family and cooking. He was a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles and New York Yankees fan. Many know Javier from his time assisting in the family's corner market in Lancaster, La Marketa Hispana.

His legacy will live on in his parents, his loving wife Yesica, children, Chayanne O. DeJesus, husband of Jessica Romero, Yajaira DeJesus, fiancé of Marcos Romero, and Xavier DeJesus, all of Lancaster, grandchildren: Isaiah Omar DeJesus, Jeremiah Alexis DeJesus, Jaydel Valdes, and Jaylianis Cortes, and his siblings, Elias DeJesus, husband of Ivette Aponte of Puerto Rico, and Ruben DeJesus of Florida.

The family invites guests to a viewing on Friday, December 27, 2024, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St. Lancaster, PA 17602, from 6 – 8 PM. On Saturday, December 28, 2024, the family welcome guests to a viewing at the funeral home from 12 – 2 PM, with a funeral service beginning at 2 PM. Interment to follow at Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
