Janis Bicevskis, 97, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023. Born in Latvia, he came to America after World War II, fleeing the communist takeover of his country.

He was a decades long member of the Latvian Lutheran Church of Bucks County PA. Before retiring, he worked for 35 years at Ford-New Holland. In his younger days, he enjoyed playing volleyball, visiting the beach and having get-togethers with friends and family.

Janis was preceded in death by his wife Livija. He is survived by two sons and a grandson.

The family would like to thank the staff at Homestead Village for the wonderful care they provided Janis for the last 3 ½ years.

A Service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 N. George Street, Millersville, PA 17551. Family and friends will be received from 10AM until the time of service. Interment will follow at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.
