Janice T. Day-Ahl, 72, of Lancaster, died February 16, 2017 at her home. She was the daughter of Harry and Alice (Franklin) Brillhart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Ahl in 2016.

A Lancaster Catholic High School graduate, Janice was known as a generous and lighthearted person. She was a CNA and retired from Golden Living Center on N. Duke St. Janice enjoyed reading; her house was full of books, enjoyed music, and her cats.

She is survived by two daughters, Angela Hanneman, Megan Wike, of Lancaster, a son, Harold Rote, of Columbia, eight grandchildren, and a sister, Lorie Eckert, of South Carolina. She was preceded in death by a sister, Elise Brillhart.

A Memorial Gathering will be hosted at Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory 414 E. King St. Lancaster, PA Mon., Feb. 27, 2017 at 2PM. Friends may visit at Snyder's from 1PM-2PM.
