Janet L. Mills, 85, of Calvary Fellowship Homes, passed away on Friday October 20, 2017. Born in Cross Keys, PA she was the daughter of the late William C. and Josephine (Vaughn) Burdge. She was the wife of the late Edward E. Mills who passed away March 26, 2017. She graduated as a registered nurse from the Lewistown Hospital School of Nursing, and she also received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Millersville University. She worked eleven years in hospital nursing and for the Warwick School District for 25 years, retiring in 1995. Janet was an active member of Calvary Church. She held various positions at Calvary Fellowship Homes including: Corporation member, board member, committee member and longtime volunteer. She is survived by two sons, Lyle V. Mills of Lake Worth, FL and Kevin L. Mills of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Andrea Payne wife of Shawn and Ashley Grieve wife of Nicholas; three great-grandchildren, Cody and Nicola Grieve and Ellen Bey; a sister, Manila Ellinger, and a brother Edd K. husband of Ann Burdge both of Lewistown. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, October 30, 2017 at Calvary Fellowship Homes, 502 Elizabeth Dr, Lancaster, PA 17601. A viewing will be held from 9:30AM-10:30AM on Monday. An interment service at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery is planned for 1:30PM Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Janet's memory to Calvary Fellowship Homes Benevolent Fund at the above address.
