Obituary

Jane L. Weaver, 79, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Manor Care. She was the wife of the late George Weaver. Born in Columbia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Elzada E. (Johnson) Barton. Jane was a member of Brightside Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, cooking and especially going to the casino. Jane is survived by her seven loving children: James C. Christian, Christel M. Coward wife of Esquire, Ernest E. Christian III., Karl P. Christian husband of Joan, Cynthia R. Hunter, Cheri L. Wilson wife of Robert, and Scott A. Christian, all of Lancaster and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, James Wright. In addition to her loving husband, George, Jane was preceded in death by one daughter, Jane L. Williamson and one sister, Ruth Elzey. A Home Going Service will be held on Wednesday, August 10 at 12PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602 with the Rev. Andrew Jenkins officiating. Family and friends are invited to the funeral home from 10-12AM for a viewing prior to the service. A private Inurnment will be in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Dr., Lancaster, PA 17603. Jane's family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Manor Care, especially Nirmal, Henry, Smilene, Desta, and Hermie. And a special thanks to Heartland Hospice for all of your loving care.
