Jane F. ( Englert ) Mundie, 84, of  Lancaster passed away Friday, November 9, 2007 at Luther Acres. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Frederick J. and Veronica M. ( Trees ) Englert. She was the wife of the late John F. Mundie who passed away on March 15, 1960.

Mrs. Mundie was employed for 22 years as a cook for St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church where she retired in 1985. She also worked as a cook at RCA and cleaned for Lancaster General Hospital after her husband's death.

She enjoyed crossword puzzles in her spare time. She was a life member of St. Anthony of  Padua Catholic Church, former President of  Altar Rosary Society, former Vice President of the  Mother's Club at St. Anthony Parochial School and was Treasurer of Altar Rosary Society for years.

Surviving is a daughter, Eileen M. Mundie  and a granddaughter, Kathryn J. Roberts, both of Lancaster. She is preceded in death by a son, John F. Mundie and a brother, William Englert.

A memorial mass will be held on Friday, November 16, 2007 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 East Orange Street, Lancaster, 17602, at 11 AM. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jane's memory to the church. The Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home Inc. 393-9661 is handling the arrangements.
