IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James W.
Stauffer
February 21, 2024
A life well lived.
Jim and his wife Sue were married on February 24, 1963. They shared a marriage filled with commitment and unconditional love which continues to be an example for their family. They attended Calvary Church in Lancaster. Jim leaned on his faith in the challenging times of his life. He was generous, humble, and kind to everyone whether they were a family member, friend, business associate, employee, or acquaintance.
Jim's priority was to love and care for his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Family vacations were some of his most sensational memories. His hobbies included boating, waterskiing, and gardening. One of his personal passions was growing daylilies. Jim's daylily garden tours at his home attracted a large crowd of avid gardeners. He sent each person home with a starter lily and many of his original plants are blooming in gardens throughout the county.
Jim was the son of Stauffers of Kissel Hill founders, Roy Sr., and Florence Stauffer. During his career in the family business, Jim developed the landscape and nursery division. He was also responsible for land development and construction of the company's properties. His career was one of commitment, tenacity, integrity, and a passion to serve customers with excellence. Jim retired from the family business in 2005.
