James D. Trauger, 59, of 607 Lehigh Ave., Lancaster, died Thursday at his residence after a lengthy illness.

He was the husband of Virginia L. Baker Trauger, with whom he had been married 22 years this past July 14 ^th .

Born in Lancaster, James was the son of the late Thomas F. and Evelyn Styer Trauger.

He was a 1965 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School and he enjoyed bowling and fishing.

He was of the Catholic faith.

In addition to his wife, James is survived by 4 sons: James D. married to Michelle Trauger of Lititz, Matthew J. Trauger of Lancaster, Dennis  married to Jeniffer Weit of Wilmington, DE,  and Eric Weit of Wilmington; 2 daughters: Tina McElrath of Lancaster, Jennifer L. married to Richard Holden of Mount Joy; 3 stepsons: Henry and Michael Hess, both of Lancaster, and Dennis Hess of Somerset PA; 13 grandchildren, and a brother, David O. married to  Beverly Trauger of Everett, WA.

Friends will be received on Monday evening from 7-9PM and again on Tuesday morning from 10-11AM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA, with the funeral services to follow on Tuesday at 11AM. Interment in the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery.
