Obituary

James B. "Jim" Christian, 64, a lifelong resident of Lancaster, passed away May 21st, 2018 at Hospice & Community Care in Mt. Joy, after a brief illness. He was born in Lancaster on October 28th, 1953 and was the son of James B. Baldwin and the late Evelyn M. Christian. He shared a long-time partnership with Jody L. Miles, also of Lancaster. He was a 1972 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School, where he was a star of the basketball team. He attended Franklin & Marshall College where he studied Chemical Engineering. Jim was a self-employed entrepreneur and businessman. He was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Anthony's Church. He served as an officer at The American Legion Post #34, was a member at The Conestoga Elks Club and was a former member of Meadia Heights Country Club. Jim loved the game of golf, and was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. In addition to his father and partner, Jim is survived by a son, Michael J., husband of Dena Christian, Mt. Joy, a daughter, Jennifer K., wife of Darren Conner, of Harrisburg, three grandchildren, Alyssa, Landon and Sydney Conner, of Harrisburg, two stepchildren, two sisters, Francis Hoover, of York, and Denise, wife of Larry Johnson, of Lancaster and several step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. A private memorial service and graveside service will be held.
