James E. Gradwell, 76 of Lancaster, formerly of Frackville, PA passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Hospice & Community Care, Lancaster. Born in Ashland, PA he was the son of the late Gordon and Christine (Haberle) Gradwell. He was married to Dorothy (Fronczak) Gradwell for 52 years.

He proudly served his country in the US Army. He worked at RCA as a welder for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of Grandview United Methodist Church in Lancaster.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his children, David J. Gradwell, husband of Kelly of Lancaster, Sandra Ward, wife of Cedric, of Salisbury, MD. Also surviving are two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother.

A Funeral Service will be at 12PM on Monday, October 1, 2012 from the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz PA with Rev. Mike Alleman officiating and Military Honors accorded by the Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard. A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Monday between 11-12PM.  Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
