Jadwiga Guzy, 56, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday September 17, 2018 at Hospice and Community Care. Born in Kszaznice Wielke, Poland, she was the daughter of the late Waclaw and Zofia (Szlachta) Bozek and wife of 31 years to Roman Guzy. Jadwiga attended Krakow Nursing School and used her skills and training to be an at-home nurse. An incredibly kind and caring person, Jadwiga always put others before herself. She was completely selfless and would do anything to help others, and her positive attitude was infectious. Relaxing at Rehoboth Beach with her family, animals and gardening were her favorite things. In addition to her husband, Jadwiga is survived by her two daughters, Natalie and Sabrina Guzy, brother, Tadeusz Bozek, nephew Lukasz Bozek, and niece Iwona Bozek Barlog. Jadwiga's family would like to thank all of the incredible physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, and staff for their dedication and care over the past four years. A Catholic Prayer Service will be held Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 1:00pm at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory located at 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A viewing will be held prior to the service starting at 12:00pm. Interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family.
